We invite you to check out the church and its ministries.  We are committed to helping people become healthy followers of Christ, living authentic Christian lives.   We believe the church should be relevant to contemporary society without sacrificing the timeless truths of Jesus Christ.

Our services feature a blend of contemporary and traditional music, and relevant, practical messages designed to help us live out the Bible in our everyday living.  Some dress up, some dress casually, it doesn't matter.  We work hard to make sure the atmosphere in our church is inviting to all who join us for worship.

If there is any way we can help you, particularly if you have questions about God, Jesus Christ, the Bible, please don't hesitate to contact us.

We have been in pursuit of balance between the five purposes  that Jesus gave to the church.  Worship, Ministry, Evangelism, Fellowship, and Discipleship.   These purposes come from God's Word in Matthew 22 and Matthew 28.

Worship!  In or day and age, many come to a church in a consumer mindset.  What can I get from this?  This is the underlying motive.   Unfortunately this consumeristic attitude can never be quenched and is quite divisive within the body.  Worship - means to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength.  God is the focus of our attention.  God is the audience.  We gather to give ourselves; our time, talents and treasures to God.  We worship through many different expressions: singing (Hymns, psalms and spiritual songs), prayer (provision of need, offer of praise, listening to God), giving (testimony, tithes and offerings, attention)  study (considering the word, listening the Holy Spirit)  Prepare for worship Saturday night.  Come ready to offer yourselves to the Lord.
Ministry!  God has left us on this good earth for  a purpose and has equipped each of us to fulfill that purpose!  Learn, know and use your God given abilities.  When you are good at something you ought to use a portion of that talent directly for the Lord and realize that the rest of your use of that ability is still used as unto the Lord, not man.  I.U.B. offers tons of ways to minister.   I.U.B. has a high percentage of people functioning within their gifts or S.H.A.P.E. in obedience to God.  Learn, know and use yours at I.U.B.
Evangelism!  Go into the world.  Well, in many ways we are still asking the world to come to us.  We're trying multiple ideas to be "seeker friendly."  The Journey was launched this fall with the idea of focusing on those who are less likely to "go to church."  Contemporary, Casual and relevant.

Small groups is another great forum for reaching reluctant people!  Fill that empty chair is our cry!  There are numerous small group in the church.

Special events at church are another good opportunity to  invite people to God.

Fellowship!  We work hard at "assimilating" people into God's Kingdom.  In a way that's what Jesus meant when He said "Baptize them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit."  Sure we baptize- but just as important- we immerse people into the Kingdom.  We're Kingdom builders at I.U.B.    We like to have fun together and enjoy each other's company.  Why, just the other day at church I marveled at how many stood around to talk after church.   They stayed and stayed and stayed.  I think we like each other!!!
Discipleship!  Many who are new to the church comment about how we are teaching church.  WoW!  What a complement.  There are many professional teachers in our church also.  Discipleship is about teaching people to obey all that God has commanded.  Not just through classroom learning, but also through opportunity to practice what we've learned.  We want to have an environment where we are doers of the word and not just hearers.  Learning takes on many different models.  The class room is just one.  The work place is another.

Well, I love I.U.B.  We are far from perfect, but it sure is great to be part of a church that is striving to fulfil what God intended the church to be.  Some have said "we don't need to be purpose driven we need to Biblical."  My friends, the model of purpose is right from the Bible.  Join in with the vision and direction of the church.  We're having a blast and we'd love you to be part of it.

Blessings to you all - have a great week!
